Zelensky urges 'strongest' ever Western sanctions if Putin rejects meeting

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the United States on Tuesday to levy its most hard-hitting package of sanctions on Moscow if Russian President Vladimir Putin rejects a call to meet in Turkey this week.
"This should be the strongest package of sanctions," Zelensky told reporters in Kyiv, adding that Putin shunning the meeting would be a "clear signal that they do not want and are not going to end the war."
