Two Hizbullah members fighting alongside Syrian government forces in the Qusayr area near the border with Lebanon were killed on Monday, a source close to the party said.

"Two members of Hizbullah who went to Syria to fight against armed groups in the Qusayr sector have been killed," the source said.

Hackers launched a massive international cyber attack campaign against Israeli government websites on Saturday and Sunday, amid numerous threats from the Anonymous hacker collective.

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat announced on Thursday his support for nominating Beirut MP Tammam Salam for premiership, stating that he will not take part in any one-sided government.

"I have picked Mr. Tammam Salam and I have contacted him,” Jumblat said in an interview on LBCI television.

A French court on Thursday annulled a parole granted to Lebanese leftist militant Georges Abdallah, after postponing its final decision several times, al-Mayadeen television reported.

Syrian warplanes pounded on Wednesday a house on the outskirts of the eastern border town of Arsal.

Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun on Tuesday launched a vehement verbal attack on Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat and hinted that he will not renominate Najib Miqati for the premiership.

“Jumblat is mentally unstable and he is trying to punish us because we backed the Orthodox Gathering (electoral) law,” said Aoun during an interview on his movement's mouthpiece OTV.

Syndicate Coordination Committee's head Hanna Gharib will resume giving classes at Mar Elias Btina College after the Easter break, radio Voice of Lebanon (93.3) reported on Monday.

This news comes after reports said two days ago that Gharib was fired for missing classes during his participation in the SCC's protests.

Three Lebanese have been kidnapped in Lagos, a rare case of expatriate kidnapping in Nigeria's commercial center, the state-run National News Agency reported Wednesday.

NNA said the Lebanese foreign ministry was informed about the kidnapping, adding that contacts are underway to set them free.

Syrian President Bashar Assad has appealed to the leaders of a five-nation economic forum to intervene to stop the violence in Syria and encourage dialogue in his country's two-year conflict.

Assad said Syria is being subjected to "acts of terrorism backed by Arab, regional and Western nations" — a reference to the Western-backed opposition fighting his regime.
