French President Francois Hollande reiterated on Friday that his country will continue to defend Lebanon’s independence, sovereignty and unity of its territories.

“Our main concern is to preserve the stability (in Lebanon),” Hollande said in a cable sent to Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea.

He pointed out that he is keen to end impunity in Lebanon, voicing his support to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which was established to probe the 2005 assassination of ex-Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and 21 others.

Hollande echoed his country’s will to preserve the “deep friendship” between Lebanon and France.

“Be sure that France will help Lebanon face the challenges amid the continuous developments in the region,” the French president added.

Thank you, Mr. Hollande. And I support Hollande's pulling France out of recession. I hope that you become a rich country again, dear France. All this while retiring at 60, while working 35 hours, while protesting for every budget cut. Good luck...
For Mr. Hollande, the most important thing in Lebanon is the STL. like if the stl continue, HA will give his weapons and inpunity will magically stop... Merde Mr. Hollande. Il y a 4M de Libanais vivants!
Like sunni said, old colonial europe is out... So unless you start caring for the lebanese more and for the stl less, we dont really care about your opinion.
