Vance says Iran deal includes Lebanon

W460

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has said that the expectd agreement between the United States and Iran could lead to a broader regional peace deal involving Gulf states, Israel and Lebanon, provided Tehran complies with the terms of any future agreement.

Asked whether Lebanon and Hezbollah would be included in such an arrangement, Vance said the envisioned agreement would encompass multiple countries across the region.

“It is a regional peace deal. It’s going to include the Gulf, it’s going to include Israel, it’s going to include Lebanon,” Vance said.

Asked whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would respect the deal, Vance said: “The idea is that if the Iranians comply, then we are going to have a true transformative deal for the Middle East."

Israel was not involved and is not a party to the deal. That was Pakistan's deliberate choice. If, however, Israel's enemies choose peace, which Israel has always wanted, of course Israel would be thrilled.

What exactly in this agreement that according to Vance includes Lebanon says anything to show that the USA will be coming to the assistance of the Government and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lebanon to rid the country of Hizballah in order that the Israeli forces can return across the international border leaving behind a peaceful Lebanon.
