Salam meets Aoun and Berri

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met Friday with President Joseph Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to discuss the latest developments in the country and the region, including repeated Israeli strikes on the south.
On Thursday, violent Israeli strikes in the south killed one person and wounded seven, with President Aoun saying that the strikes targeted "civilian facilities".
"The repeated Israeli aggression comes as part of a systematic policy aimed at destroying productive infrastructure, hindering economic recovery, and undermining national stability under false security pretexts," Aoun said..
Israel claimed the evening strikes targeted a cement plant and quarry and a site belonging to an environmental group it accused of being affiliated with Hezbollah.
A few days earlier, Israel had struck several lots storing bulldozers and excavators, also claiming that the equipment was intended for use by Hezbollah.
Berri said Israel was targeting equipment used for the reconstruction, in a bid to prevent Lebanon from rebuilding and transform the south to an unlivable buffer zone.
