US, UK, France, Germany decide to send Hochstein to Beirut carrying 'solution'
U.S. President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and British PM Keir Starmer agreed in their meeting in Berlin on Friday to dispatch U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein to Beirut, a diplomatic source said.
Hochstein "will carry a solution to end the war and reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah," the source told al-Liwaa newspaper in remarks published Saturday.
Sky News Arabia meanwhile reported that Hochstein would arrive in Beirut "next week."
According to the diplomatic source, Hochstein will also seek an understanding over the election of a president, with the U.S. and its allies "nominating Army chief General Joseph Aoun for the top post."
Hochstein had told al-Jadeed TV overnight that he is in contact with Lebanese politicians to put an end to the ongoing war.
Asked about Aoun's nomination, Hochstein said it is up to the Lebanese people to decide whether he is the most appropriate candidate.

Any ceasefire resolution without completely disarming Hizbollah and handing all tunnels & arm storages to the Lebanese army is an act of greatest treason. Leaving any part of this Cancer will insure the slow death of Lebanon, a painful miserable death as has been the case since Hizb assassinated Hariri and M14 martyrs. Hizb brainwashed fighters belong to Iran Foreign Legion and are causing the systematic destruction of Lebanon as Hamas did with Gaza to benefit Iran tyrants. They have transformed the South and our cities and villages into Iranian rocket bases with the main purpose of protecting Iran’s nuclear nirvana and regional hegemony. Border safety and territorial integrity is only achieved by neutrality, UN protection and no arms outside army. Any resolution must include neutrality and confiscating all Hizb assets to feed the displaced and help fix war damage. Berri & this Vichy government are part of the problem. Solution is Cedar Revolution II with Shia participation.

Despite our government guilty of facilitating and covering up for Hizbollah (Iran Foreign Legion) militia occupation working as foreign agents to Iran (only Iran could lunch advanced weapons from Hizb locations leaving no doubt that Hizb arms are to protect Iran), now is the time for negotiation. Lebanon's army will disarm Hizbollah and bring its leaders to justice in exchange of border demarcation, UNIFIL expansion, and $30 billion foreign aid for reconstruction, investments to create education centers, industry, mini-Silicon Valleys for full employment in South, Dahie and Bekaa; and funds to deprogram all brainwashed Hizb fighters and supporters. After Hizb & Hamas disarmament, Lebanon will pursue with other Arab countries, US and Europe implementing a 2-state solution to help Palestinians victims of Hamas and AlJazeera (Al-Dracula) propaganda and radicalism.
