Geagea says Hezbollah fully led by Iran after Nasrallah's killing

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea accused the Lebanese government of becoming "a rescue committee" instead of a state and of allowing Iran to fight its battles from Lebanon.

In remarks published Friday in Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, Geagea said that Hezbollah has dragged Lebanon to where it is now, while Lebanese officials were "loafing around" instead of calling for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.

"The government must convene and take a decision to deploy the army and implement Resolution 1701," Geagea said, adding that after the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli strike, Hezbollah is now totally led by Iran.

"The decisions are now completely Iranian and Iran will continue its fight until the last (Hezbollah) fighter."

It's about time that you woke up and learned that we are no longer in 1948, but in 2024 where things are greatly different. Every time I read one of your comments I begin to understand that if there a lot of people in Lebanon who think the same as you then no matter what happens in the near future, the country is in a very serious political and economical situation.
It is just a pity that whilst you were asleep in 1983 when, after Lebanon and Israel reached an agreement which was unfortunately torn up by the Syrian occupiers, no Lebanese government since then took the opportunity after the Syrians were driven out, to contact the Israelis to re-instate or decide on a new agreement. If that would have happened, the situation in Lebanon would have been greatly different when you woke up.

Lebanese Forces Board Member:

Greetings to Yahya Sinwar; he was not assassinated, he fought heroically and became a martyr.

Don’t generalise 1948. The LF are better than Kataeb or what’s left of it.

Article 24 of the Lebanese Constitution reserves half of parliamentary seats to Christians. Latest, probably generous, guess is that Christians are a third of the population. This is racism in action. Look at Israel: it has no idea what it is doing. "Destroy Hamas and Hezbullah". The word "ideology" was coined for racist states. On the one hand, they think their pet idea of who knows what has power all by itself. On the other hand, they think if they write their critic's name on a piece of paper and drop a two-ton bomb on it, that takes care of the criticism.
