Geagea Lashes Out at those Seeking to Undermine Lebanon’s Democracy

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Saturday slammed some parties in the government for seeking to undermine the democratic principles that the Lebanese system is based on.

“They are trying to put the Lebanese in the opposite direction that the region’s people are heading to,” Geagea told a conference on professions organized by the LF at Maarab.

The LF leader accused them of using “sticks on the rest of the Lebanese and even some constitutional institutions and state agencies.”

Furthermore, he accused them of keeping Lebanon in an unstable situation, a move that is reflecting negatively on the living conditions of Lebanese.

He said the Lebanese should either have allegiance to the state “or there won’t be any freedom and democracy in Lebanon.”

Geagea urged the Lebanese to engage in the battle against injustice and fight dictatorships in the region.

Hakim,
I am a believer in your path and have always been on it; however, apparently this nice nice approach is not working. Take a look around you and tell me what you see.
I will tell you what I see when I look around me in Lebanon:
The Nation of Lebanon is taken hostage and dragged into a one party ideological path whose main pillar of belief is Death and martyrdom.
I see what used to be Christian strongholds being run over by parades exhibiting every type of loyalty except to Lebanon.
Trust me Hakim, it is a sad state of affairs. Good luck with the nice nice approach. We all know, the only method that works with these hoodlums is the Bashir's method.

Hakim,
Listen to castro. Reform your deadly militia, arm your people. Let us start the civil war all over again. You and Bashir knew how to do it. Let us show the world how good of a killing machine you can put together and how well you can lead it. No wonder Feltman keeps coming back to Beirut. The intentions are there and all is needed to give the starting signal. Then Hariri will come back to Beirut and annoint you as president.

Castro, although i admired Bachir Gemayel and his resistance against all occupiers, be it palestinians , syrians, or lebanese SSNP, he is not here anymore to protect us, and we cannot but remember that we were a lot more back then, what are we now? 35 %? as for Bachir, with him, we were united at 90%, exept the Marada in Zgharta . Now we are divided in so many parties that we cannot even count them anymore, ( Tayyar, LF, Kataeb, Ahrar, Qornet Shahwan etc..).
Even so i believe that if Bachir was here, he would reunite us and nobody would dare mess with him. But unfortunately it is not the case, and Bachir although beloved by many, did a mistake, which has he wanted to fight the whole world by himself and wasnt scared of anything, thats what cost him his life, he should have been more careful and we would have had him president for longer and lebanon another country now. Geagea is clearly aware of everything happening dont worry, and he is learning from Bachir's mistakes, to guide us.

@ Castro, Geagea is ready to confront Hezbollah anytime, he has thousands of soldiers very well trained and better equipped than Hezb, but he will not use them now for small towns like Lassa, you also need a clear reason to fight back, right now Hezb has frankly not deployed as masses in significant christian areas. when they try to do so, they will get a good reply so dont worry, all Geagea need is weapons, big weapons because Hezb has tanks and mortars, but this can be provided within 48-72 hours, and be sure of one thing, if Hezb had the capability to take over Lebanon , they would have done so since Syria got into problems to insure their long existence, they didnt, because they cant , and 2008 is not 2011, all the lebanese know are ready for them because they know now that hezb doesnt care and would use his weapons internally. anyway they have no experience whatsoever in guerilla warfare against lebanese militias and the druze showed them that when they returned them in pieces.

I you want to engage in the battle against injustice and fight dictatorships. Why don't you start with Saudi Arabia.
Lebanon never had equal justice for its citizens
