ايخهورست: لرئيس لبناني قادر على "تحمل ثقل التوافق"

أكدت رئيسة بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في لبنان السفيرة أنجلينا إيخهورست أن الجميع يرى ضرورة ان يصل شخص قادر على تحمل ثقل التوافق الى موقع رئاسة الجمهورية، لافتة الى أنه لا يجب تخطي الدستور اللبناني بعملية الانتخابات.
وإذ أعربت ايخهورست عن تمنيها عدم حصول فراغ، أشارت في حديث لصحيفة "النهار" نشر الجمعة الى أن الانتخابات قرار لبناني صرف.
وأضافت " انا متفائلة بان الجهود المبذولة تجري كي يحصل اتفاق لبناني قبل 25 ايار"، مردفة " لدى اللبنانيين دستور، واذا تخطوه لا يعرفون ماذا سيحصل لاحقا".
وشددت ايخهورست على أنه "من المهم ان يصل رئيس يتمتع بقاعدة دعم عريضة. يمثل الرئيس، من حيث المفهوم، الشعب اللبناني، ويجب ان يكون فوق الاحزاب. قد يأتي عبر حزب الا انه عندما يصل الى قصر بعبدا، يغدو رئيسا لكل المواطنين، لبنانيين وغير لبنانيين".
ولفتت الى أن "الجميع يرى ضرورة ان يصل شخص قادر على تحمل ثقل التوافق. فالتوافق الناجم عن حوار يشكل عنصرا مهما رغم ان البعض يرى فيه ضعفا".
وفشل النواب، في جلسات انتخابية ثلاث متتالية في انتخاب رئيس جديد للجمهورية، وعلى الرغم من تحديد 15 ايار موعداً جديداً، الا ان الاجواء السياسية لا تبشّر خيراً ويتخوّف من الفراغ الرئاسي خصوصاً وان رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان الذي تنتهي ولايته في 24 ايار يرفض تمديد ولايته ويؤكد انه سيكون في منزله في 25 ايار.

The Constitution of Lebanon states, "All Shiites are dogs and until we decide to slaughter them for our stew, they should accept that God hates them."
Am I reading the right text? I found this in Chapter 1, Section 1, of the Taef Accord, where the Shiite majority of Lebanon agree that the Christian minority shall receive half the seats in Parliament. Curiously, there is no mention in the text of why the majority should agree to this reverse power-sharing arrangement.
Perhaps we have some typographical errors.

She said nothing new, rocket scientist. The most important thing is not elect made in Syria or made in Iran president. Made in Saudi Arabia normally enjoys the western support a place your type stand in line at all times in front of the embassy to get visa to travel to.

@banker, Salameh is very good indeed, but who will replace him at the Central bank then? What do you think of Demyanos Kattar, he is an economist too, most likely his policies will give priority to the economic revitalization of our country don't you think? Or maybe Ziad Baroud, another professional, known for his seriousness or Boutros Harb, their integrity is unimpeachable.
