In any case, if Obama wants to freeze assets of those who are "threatening stability in Lebanon" then he should start by freezing the U.S.'s own assets and those of Israel. Oh! may be that's what the had in mind... that would make more sense!

Yet your overlords are begging for a bone from the US. Don't forget that most of the world is dependant on the US currency, US companies, US stockmarket, US .. heck US everything.

The US army is still by miles the strongest army in the world. Also, if the US is as you are trying to convince your self bankcrupt the entire world economy will get into a coma (don't forget what happenned to the world when the realestate market collapsed in the US). This whole deficit limit raise is a ritual dance our politicians like to mess with it's called Democracy.
