Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi stressed on Sunday that the country is passing through a critical stage, however, he pointed out that it will not have an impact on the solidarity between Christians and Muslims.

“I denounce the writings on the churches in (the northern city of) Tripoli,” Rifi said during a visit to Mar Elias Church that was vandalized by unknown assailants recently.

Unidentified gunmen on Thursday shot and wounded two residents of the Tripoli district of Jabal Mohsen in the nearby al-Mallouleh area during a “personal dispute.”

“Two young men who hail from Jabal Mohsen have been shot and wounded,” OTV reported.

A man hurled three hand grenades Monday afternoon near a mosque in Tripoli's al-Zahriyeh area, leaving five people wounded.

“Five people were injured when I. B. threw 3 hand grenades indiscriminately in al-Zahriyeh,” MTV reported.
