Hezbollah attacked Monday a military base in the Golan Heights with suicide drones.

The group said it had successfully attacked "an air and missile defense base" in a barracks in the Golan Heights with four suicide drones.

Israeli warplanes on Saturday bombed a house in the southern town of Majdal Zoun, totally destroying it, prompting emergency crews and paramedics to head to the area, the National News Agency said.

Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil is walking a fine line between supporting and opposing the ongoing war in Lebanon's south.

Women representative in Lebanon Gielan Elmessiri, has met in the northern city of Tripoli with youth, women-led groups and non- governmental organizations active in empowering women and girls, peacebuilding efforts and the promotion of social stability through inclusive political dialogue, social inclusion and economic empowerment.

"All across Lebanon, I have met with inspiring women who are playing leading roles in trying to make their communities more peaceful, inclusive, resourceful and involved in contributing to a more sustainable future for their country," Wronecka said Wednesday. "Creating a conducive environment for enhancing women and girls’ rights and participation is even more necessary during times of crisis so that Lebanon can benefit from the full potential of all its citizens," she added.

Two people were wounded Friday in an Israeli airstrike on the southern town of Baraashit, around 10 kilometers from the border, MTV reported.

Another airstrike destroyed a house between the southern towns of al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, the National News Agency said.

The ambassadors of the five-nation group - the U.S., France, Egypt, Qatar and KSA - are meeting today at the Qatari Embassy, local media reports said Thursday.

The meeting will discuss a presidential dialogue initiative by the National Moderation bloc, al-Jadeed reported, while another local report in the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper said that the quintet will adopt in a statement the bloc’s initiative.

AFAD winners will get to shadow an Ambassador in Lebanon for one day, to see first-hand how girls can become leaders and advocates for change.

Each winner will be paired with an Ambassador or head of a U.N. Agency in Lebanon to spend a day with them and their team, and be invited as Guests of Honour to a ceremony hosted by the British and Canadian embassies. "This promises to be an unforgettable opportunity to build skills in diplomacy, confidence, and leadership," the British Embassy in Beirut said in a statement Thursday.

Hezbollah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem has admitted that the 2006 memorandum of understanding with the Free Patriotic Movement has become “suspended” due to “different visions” and “differences over various issues.”

“We have taken a decision in Hezbollah not to engage in exchanges of tirades with the FPM,” Qassem said in a TV interview, while noting that “the channels of communication are still open.”
