Israel's military has suspended mid-day pauses to fighting, which had allowed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza City, saying on Friday that the city was now "a dangerous combat zone."

The city was among the places that Israel paused fighting last month to allow food and aid supplies to enter from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday condemned the "endless catalogue of horrors" in Gaza, calling for accountability and warning of potential war crimes.

Yemen's Houthi rebels said Israel attacked the capital Sanaa on Thursday, four days after a round of deadly bombings against the Iran-backed group.

"Israeli aggression on the capital Sanaa", the Houthi news channel Al-Massirah posted on X, without providing details.

An aid convoy entered the city of Sweida in southern Syria via the main highway from Damascus on Thursday, for the first time since a major outbreak of sectarian violence last month shook the country's fragile recovery from nearly 14 years of civil war.

Clashes broke out in mid-July between government forces and local Bedouin tribesmen on one side, and fighters from the country's Druze minority on the other. Hundreds were killed and tens of thousands displaced, and allegations have surfaced of government fighters executing Druze civilians and looting and burning houses.

Israel's military said it intercepted a drone launched from Yemen on Thursday, after sirens sounded in communities near the Gaza Strip.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the drone, but Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have repeatedly launched missiles and drones at Israel since their Palestinian ally Hamas's October 2023 attack on Israel sparked the Gaza war.

Israeli forces conducted an airborne raid on a site near the Syrian capital after bombing it several times, Syrian state media reported.

Israel has not confirmed the raid, but Defense Minister Israel Katz said its forces operate "in all combat zones" to ensure the country's security.

The Israeli military said Wednesday it intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, where Houthi rebels have regularly launched attacks they say are in response to Israel's offensive in Gaza.

Israeli police said Wednesday that security forces seized roughly 1.5 million shekels ($447,000) of "terror funds" during a raid in the occupied West Bank a day earlier.

The Israeli military on Wednesday launched an operation involving dozens of soldiers and armored vehicles in the old city of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, witnesses and Palestinian officials said.

The Israeli military pressed operations around Gaza City on Wednesday, as President Donald Trump prepared to host a White House meeting on post-war plans for the shattered Palestinian territory.
