Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt were all smiles at the world premiere of "By the Sea", her latest directorial outing and their first on-screen pairing in a decade.

The much anticipated movie, which had its official opening at the American Film Institute festival late on Thursday, is an intimate drama about a married couple in the 1970s whose relationship is verging on collapse. 

A statue dedicated to South Korean singer Psy's global music video hit "Gangnam Style" is to be erected in the eponymous, upscale Seoul district made famous by the song.

Gangnam district council said Friday that the statue -- modelled after Psy's signature horse-riding dance move -- would be unveiled next month outside the COEX shopping and exhibition centre, where the first part of the video was shot.

George Barris, the man who designed and built the black, fire-spitting vehicle made famous in the 1960s "Batman" television series, has died in Los Angeles, his son Brett announced on Facebook.

Known as the "King of the Kustomizers," the 89 year-old Barris died at home in his sleep on Thursday.
