Newhart, 84, was honored at Sunday's creative arts Emmy ceremony for his guest role last season on "The Big Bang Theory" as Professor Proton, a down-on-his-luck former host of a children's science show.

More torrential rain grounded helicopters in the U.S. state of Colorado on Sunday, slowing the search for up to 500 people unaccounted for after several days of massive flooding.

Officials suggested many of the victims may simply not be able to call loved ones because of damage to cell phone towers or power outages.

Rescues Increase as Floodwater Inundates Colorado 

Rescuers rushed by land and by air Saturday to evacuate Coloradoans stranded by epic mountain flooding as debris-filled rivers became muddy seas that extended into towns and farms miles from the Rockies.

Four people have been confirmed dead since the harrowing floods began Wednesday. And hundreds of others have not been heard from in the flood zone, which has grown to cover an area covering nearly 4,500 square miles (11,655 square kilometers), nearly the size of the U.S. state of Connecticut.

Uruguay's Montevideo Zoo Giving Away iIs Big Cats

"Hatch," a 10-year-old male Bengal tiger, has lived in a 20-by-16-foot (6-by-5 meter) cage with cement walls and nothing green in sight since he was traded to the Villa Dolores Zoo after spending his first three years in a circus. A similarly dismal cage next door is home to an unnamed female tiger. A poster says tigers "love water" and "bathe on hot days, swimming across rivers and lakes."

But these cats don't even have a paddling pool.

3 Pre-Hispanic Artifacts Returned to Mexico

Mexicans received their first chance Friday to see three pre-Hispanic stone carvings that were returned by the Lowe Art museum in Miami after they were apparently removed illegally from Mexico.

Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History says the three stone pieces depict a serpent, a water god and a priest or nobleman.

California, Chinese Officials Announce Climate Deal

California Gov. Jerry Brown and China's top climate negotiator on Friday signed the first agreement between a U.S. state and China that seeks greater cooperation on clean energy technologies and research meant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The memorandum of understanding signed with China's National Development and Reform Commission was another aggressive move by California to combat climate change. The state has already passed the nation's most ambitious greenhouse gas limits, including a so-called "cap and trade" system that put a price on carbon pollution in the state.

PSG beats Bordeaux to move top of French league

Paris Saint-Germain eased to a 2-0 win at Bordeaux on Friday to move provisionally top of the French league.

PSG dominated from the start and took the lead on the half hour mark. Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked out Blaise Matuidi with a delightful pass and although his first shot was stopped by Cedric Carrasso, Matuidi collected the rebound, rounded the Bordeaux goalkeeper and fired home.
