Suleiman Asks Army, UNIFIL to Expand Probe into Israeli Infiltration

President Michel Suleiman urged on Thursday the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL leaderships to expand the investigation into the infiltration of an Israeli patrol into southern Lebanon.
Suleiman's request came in an attempt to study in detail the circumstances of the infiltration that took place early Wednesday to add the information to a complaint that Lebanese authorities plan to file with the U.N. Security Council.
The Lebanese army said Wednesday that a group of Israeli soldiers crossed the border into the southern area of Labbouneh near Naqoura and were wounded in an explosion which reports have said was caused by a landmine.
It called the incident a "new violation of Lebanese sovereignty" and said it was investigating the nature of the blast.
The communique said the Israeli troops reached as far as 400 meters inside Lebanon.
Lebanese officials said the infiltration was in violation of Security Council resolution 1701 that ended the 2006 war between Israel and Hizbullah.

Maybe there were 73 complaints in one year, I'll not argue with that. However can we have a breakdown, how many of them were incursions by Syrian forces and how many Israeli? Without waiting for an official answer (one that will never come), I'll give you the correct numbers - Syria 0 Israel 73. What a joke.

If we had HA under the army, we would have better resources to be able to provide a regular military army on the boarder and blast them if they cross. They should not be able to step one foot on our soil, let alone 1/4 of a mile.

We have Israeli infiltration of borders. We have Syrian infiltration and hegemony through proxies (at least dozens of them). We have Iranian hegemony in the form of HA. We have KSA influence through Petro-Dollars.
So yes we need a shovel brigade to clean Lebanon from such infiltrations, hegemony and sold out politicians. Let us start with what is possible, deal with the proxy presence which is armed to the teeth. What is the use of beautifying the skin/hair/nails when cancer is eating the body from within?

I don't think that's a smart move there, helicopter. With so much energy invested in such an endeavor and the isolation of a large segment of the population, instability will reach even newer heights.
First we start small, baby steps, and gain momentum, respect, and support so that the final piece will be easier on all of us and the country also.
