Hizbullah Says Ban Biased to West, Slams Report on Implementation of 1701

Hizbullah slammed on Thursday United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s report on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1701.

“Ban confirmed once again that he is completely biased towards the west instead of implementing the goals of the international organization to establish peace and stability around the world,” the party said in a statement.

Five years after the expansion of UNIFIL’s activities, it’s time to carry out a strategic review of its mission, Ban said in his 17th report on the implementation of 1701.

Hizbullah said that the report is full of “false information” and indicates the international community’s annoyance from “the Lebanese decision to reinforce its position against Israel.”

“It contradicts the facts on the ground, which assures the stability of the situation in the south,” the group said in a statement.

Ban said in his report that he is looking forward for a strategic dialogue that allows the Lebanese army to take the biggest share of security responsibilities, reiterating that Hizbullah and other armed groups pose a threat to the sovereignty and stability of Lebanon.

Hizbullah’s statement said however: “We condemn the new stances of the Secretary General, and we consider the U.S. dominance on the U.N. agencies a big threat to peace and security in the world.”

Earlier this week, U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Ad Interim Robert Watkins said during a meeting with Prime Minister Najib Miqati that the U.N. Security Council will discuss on November 29 the report on Lebanon’s implementation of resolution 1701.

@geha. Your statement is quite true. Assad has held on this long only because of Israeli insistence on forebearance by the US to intervene against the Assad Regime.

In light of the murderous nature of Assad's attempts to hang on, even the Israelis are repulsed and cannot hold the regime any longer. Assad will be gone within 8 weeks.

What comes after Assad will be the "un-Assad", that is, whatever Assad was for, the new regime will be against. Against Iran, against Hezbollah and against Israel. The Israeli northern border with Syria has been its most stable. the "un-assad" regime that is coming will destabilize it and this will open the door for Israel to engage in a broad "restructuring" of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the regime in Syria.

Hezbollah sees this train coming down the tracks. Hezbollah's power is from political confrontation of Israel, not by military confrontation. Events in Syria will change the field from political to military.

We are allies and friends with the West and our enemy is Iran. Hezbollah is an Iranian entity implanted in lebanon therefore it is the enemy of the state.
One day those lebanese who are still entranced by the hezb will wake up to this fact. If they don't the events in the region will bring them to a rude awakening.

Where is the report covering the Zionist entity's implementation of 1701? Will it discuss the thousands of aerial incursions of war planes into Lebanese territory?
