Journalist Ali Hamadeh Receives Death Threat

Prominent journalist Ali Hamadeh, who is the brother of MP Marwan Hamadeh, has informed Lebanese authorities that he received an assassination threat on his website.
Hamadeh told security forces and the General Secretariat of the March 14 coalition that he received the death threat last Wednesday, media reports said.
The person who wrote the threat told Hamadeh that he was planning to kill the journalist while going out of Future TV building but he lost his opportunity after receiving a phone call.
Hamadeh has a political talk show on Future and writes a daily column for An Nahar newspaper.
His brother Marwan was the first politician to be targeted in a series of bombing attacks in the past years. He escaped an assassination attempt in October 2004.

Ali Hammadeh is one of the best and most courageous reporters I've ever encountered in my life. His way of writing in Annahar newspaper is so clear and up to the point and also very rational and factual. He advocates the intefadah in Syria and rightly so because no nation in the world has asked for freedom and didn't get. The Intefadah in Syria will soon or later prevail and Syria will be a different country and certainly Lebanon that suffered from Syrian intervention for decades will certainly relax and resume his enlightened role in the Arab world. I read Hammadeh's commentaries every day or whenever he writes a new one and I am taken with his level of rationality and clarity.
Finally, I hope nothing happens to him so that he could continue giving us the best commentaries in Annahar.
God bless you Ali and keep going to the moon. Your courage will certainly be rewarded one day in so many ways that your mind could not conjecture.

Silly Ali this trend doesn't work in Lebanon since everyone wants to kill everyone.....Normally if there is a life threatening situation most of the politician escape or surround themselves with a small army of bodyguards.....

He is a very charismatic man.... Don't know what to say about Ali
