Israel asks that Lebanese Army deploy in areas where Hezbollah is present
Israel has sent a message to the Lebanese authorities via the United States, requesting that the Lebanese Army "redeploy and establish checkpoints in areas where Hezbollah elements are present," Israel’s public broadcaster reported overnight.
An Israeli security source attributed this measure to fears that the group “might open a front with Israel in the event it resumes its campaign in Iran." T
The report added that Israel "threatened the Lebanese government that if Hezbollah joins the war, Israel's fighting in Lebanon will also resume."
