US delivers 16 million rounds of ammunition to Lebanese Army
The United States has delivered 16 million rounds of ammunition to the Lebanese Army, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut said on Wednesday.
“Over the past 6 years, the United States has delivered more than $800 million dollars in military assistance to the Lebanese Armed Forces to build their long-term readiness and capacity,” the Embassy said in a post on X.
“This delivery of sixteen million rounds of ammunition represents another example of that ongoing commitment to strengthen Lebanon’s sovereignty, secure its borders, counter internal threats, and disrupt terrorist facilitation,” the Embassy added.
“The United States remains committed to supporting the Government of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces in strengthening state authority, protecting civilians, providing services, and creating conditions that help bring about lasting peace and stability,” it said.
