Reports: Lebanese leaders told Barrack Hezbollah won’t oppose removal of heavy arms, drones
The U.S. paper submitted to the Lebanese state calls for “the removal of Hezbollah’s heavy arms and missiles and gradually integrating Hezbollah into the Lebanese political life,” media reports said.
The Lebanese and Kuwaiti media reports quoted diplomatic sources as saying that Barrack will return to Beirut in two weeks and will hold “a landmark meeting with Hezbollah representatives.”
“The three presidents, especially Speaker Nabih Berri, pledged to Barrack that Hezbollah will not refuse the principle of the removal of heavy weapons and drones should it receive domestic and regional guarantees that preserve its political role,” the reports added.
